South Koreans sue Apple over iPhone user information

SEOUL, South Korea -- A lawyer says a group of more than 25,000 South Koreans are suing Apple (AAPL) for what they claim are privacy violations related to the collection of iPhone user location information.

Attorney Kim Hyeong-seok said Wednesday the suit involves 27,612 people who are each seeking 1 million won ($932) in damages. Kim said the suit targets Apple Inc. and its South Korean unit.

Apple spokesman Steve Park declined to comment.
