WV - Dupont Plant Leak Worker Dies; Investigations Start

A day after Dupont worker Dan Fish died from being exposed to phosgene, several investigations have been opened about what caused the leak.
The U.S. Chemical Safety Board will look into what happened last week and over the weekend when three separate leaks occurred at the plant.
The first leak was detected Friday morning; methyl chloride could have been leaking for up to five days.
The second happened Saturday morning.
The third was later Saturday when Fish was sprayed with phosgene while walking by what was supposed to be an inactive line.
Most operations at the plant are halted until they get the all clear that everything is safe.
Plant Manager Bill Menke says the community was never in danger during the leaks.
