FL - Bonita Springs firefighter arrested again on kidnapping, property damage charges
Alexander J. Wright, 25, is also facing charges of battery and violation of a court order stemming from a Saturday incident between him and his ex-girlfriend.
A patrolling police officer saw a black Mercedes make an abrupt right turn onto Summerlin Road from Colonial Boulevard and a black SUV following that almost struck the Mercedes.
The officer met with the female driver of the Mercedes, who was hysterically yelling and screaming for help, according a Fort Myers Police Department report.
The woman told the officer the driver of the SUV, later identified as Wright, was going to kill her.
The woman “was crying uncontrollably” and told the officer “He said if I called the police, he will kill me.” She said Wright is known to carry guns, and she was afraid of him.
The woman told police she had an injunction against Wright filed on May 4.
She said he had called her that morning saying he left his credit card on her windshield to pay for damages to her property.
Wright was charged April 21 with burglary, burglary with assault, two counts of damage to property, kidnapping and theft.
On April 25, he was also charged with damage to property.
