GA - County Commissioners receives gun and training, then gets gun stolen

Clayton County police issued the gun to Vice Chairman Wole Ralph because of previous death threats, Channel 2 Action News reported. Officers said someone broke into Ralph's red Mustang on April 26 while it was parked on Harbin Village Court in Morrow.

A homeowner found a bag that contained Ralph's commissioner’s identification, a badge, shorts, T-shirt and other personal items, according to an incident report. The car’s driver's side door and trunk were open.

When officers contacted Ralph, he told them his county handgun was missing from his car, Channel 2 reported. Police found an empty black case for a Glock semi-automatic handgun.

Commissioners are offered a handgun and handgun training in a county policy that followed reports of commission members receiving death threats.
