WA - Protestors and Cops in Seattle Streets

Hundreds of people are protesting against the Seattle Police tonight, going toe to toe with officers in riot gear.
So far the marches, moving from Westlake Plaza to Capital Hill and elsewhere in the city have been relatively peaceful but Seattle Police officers have been called out in full riot gear.
Officer Ian Birk resigned from the department late this afternoon. This comes as he was cleared of criminal charges by the King County Prosecutor's office in the fatal shooting of woodcarver John T. Williams.
Birk shot and killed Williams in downtown Seattle last August. The Seattle Police Department's internal review called the shooting 'unjustified, outside of policy, tactics and training.-- whose fatal shooting of a Native American woodcarver last summer was ruled unjustified'
