KS - American Legion official addresses Rotary about area’s homeless veterans

Veterans sacrifice so much for their country. They look forward to the chance to arrive home to freedom in the United States. Unfortunately, the harsh reality is that in Grayson County, as well as several other counties in the state, veterans are coming back homeless.

American Legion Post 81 Service Officer Anthony Noe spoke to the Grayson County Rotary Club on Tuesday about the seriousness of the issue.

According to Noe, there are 500 homeless veterans in Kentucky alone. That does not take into account those situations that go unreported.

Noe’s role with the Legion is to provide four phases of services to veterans who are left with nothing.
