KS - American Legion official addresses Rotary about area’s homeless veterans
Veterans sacrifice so much for their country. They
look forward to the chance to arrive home to freedom in the United
States. Unfortunately, the harsh reality is that in Grayson County, as
well as several other counties in the state, veterans are coming back
homeless.
American Legion Post 81 Service Officer Anthony Noe
spoke to the Grayson County Rotary Club on Tuesday about the seriousness
of the issue.
According to Noe, there are 500 homeless veterans
in Kentucky alone. That does not take into account those situations that
go unreported.
Noe’s role with the Legion is to provide four
phases of services to veterans who are left with nothing.
