SC - Schools to charge fees for activities
Students at the high school and middle school level will be charged a fee to participate in band, JROTC and athletics beginning next year once the school board gives final approval to its budget. The second reading of that budget passed at Monday night’s meeting of the board.
The fee for high school athletics will be $50 per student. The fee is not on a per-sport basis, it allows a student to participate in all sports for the entire school year. Middle schoolers will pay $25 to participate in athletics. The cost to be a member of the band or JROTC will be $25.
