CO - Colorado trooper's blood-alcohol level more than twice legal limit
The state trooper arrested in a patrol car on suspicion of drinking while on the job had a blood alcohol level of 0.194 percent, according to arrest records. That is more than twice the level at which Colorado considers a driver impaired.
Douglas County sheriff's deputies arrested David Dolan, 48, after pulling him over at South Platte Canyon Road and C-470 about 7 a.m.Monday, shortly after a deputy spotted his car on C-470 at South Santa Fe Drive.
The deputy who pulled Dolan over said he could "smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the state patrol vehicle,"according to arrest papers obtained Friday by 9News.
