VT - Rutland police sergeant to face charges including child porn
RUTLAND— A Rutland City Police Department sergeant accused of looking at online pornography while on duty will be arraigned Wednesday on a pair of criminal charges arising from the investigation, according to the Vermont State Police.
David Schauwecker, 49, was cleared of intentionally downloading child pornography while on duty last year, the state police announced in February. Tuesday, though, investigators said Schauwecker had been cited on suspicion of two charges: false report to enforcement authorities and neglect of duty by public officer.
