Trying to Break Free
Fate.
Do you believe in it?
Do you think you are destined to do as you are doing right now, for the rest of your life? It's fate. It is what is.
What if it's not? What if you are only programmed to do as you do? Programmed by media, by society, by public education, your doctor, your civil workers, your government.... what if you discovered that most of what they tell you is a lie? They don't realize they are lying or misrepresenting the truth because they themselves believe in what they are saying. How can you call someone a liar when what they say, they believe?
I'm walking around in a thrift store, looking at books on sale and a book screams to me "Pick me up!" of course, it's on sale too.
I pick it up and see quickly that this is a book I have to read. Gladly paying the $2 for it, I take it home and read it.
Amazed that there is a WHOLE GROUP of people who have the same thoughts, the same feelings, the same outlooks and are acting on it! Most days I feel alone in my thoughts, in my actions, in my feelings and in my life. To Finally find a whole group of people who have written a book about it and are organized and are ACTING, not just talking. It was like a revolution went on within myself.
I've found myself re-evaluating my life, finding that I haven't given myself much credit. I've always been an anarchist. Always.
I've always been the one willing to do what no one else will. I have always been peaceful, loving all, accepting all. To dream and to live as most of us don't. To pick up my life, quit BOEING and travel around the nation without anything but a 1967 pick up and a 10' camper. To picket our school librarian in 4th grade because she won't let me read adult books and getting my whole class to participate. These are my stories of anarchy, living beyond the box, for me and no one but me.
I see so many hits on the conspiracy of marijuana blogpost, knowing that each of you are anarchists in your soul. Willing to break the law in order to please yourself. For this one thing in your life, this one pleasure, you indulge yourself in yourself.
I applaud each of you to take that one instance of anarchism and apply it to other means. Apply it in the way you raise your children, your work, your home, your cars, your possessions, your family. Do what YOU want to do, not what you HAVE to do.
