Not being afraid

How does one break free from the confines of everyday life without putting those they love at risk for governmental scrutiny?  How does one scream from the mountain side without the neighbors calling 911?  Do you do it secretly, without knowledge spread to others or do you just quietly bend over?  Do you not care?  What if you don't have money to hire attorneys to protect your right to free speech?  What if you don't have the means to protect yourself in your quest to spread your freedom?

I am afraid.  I'm afraid of what others perceive and what others can do in the position of control.  I can protest and beg and barter and yell about my rights but in the end, will I hurt the ones closest to me?

Isn't that what "they" want?  They want to beat us into total submission.  Afraid to act, to speak, to create, to love, to scream, to fight, to protect and to live.

How does one break free of it?
