2nd - Ask for a 1/2 hour instruction at the gun range
3rd - Shoot the gun A LOT
4th - Decide which gun is right for you and your uses.  Home Protection or Concealed or Hunting and/or a mixture of all.
         Note:  Pay attention to what ammo your gun of choice uses, some ammo is extremely expensive and hard to get.
5th - Look for LOCAL GUN PEOPLE in gun clubs, gun shows and on your local classified websites.
6th - BUY A GUN!   You can find guns for sale from $100!  Buy an excellent gun used! 

Why should you buy a gun?  Police Protection is a joke, you call after the crime is committed and they come out shaking their heads and kicking tires. 

TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE BY NOT BECOMING A VICTIM.

Crime On The Rise In Town On Eastern Shore Salisbury police say crime is on the rise.

Police say new statistics show violent crime is up 14 percent in the city, compared to the same time last year. Police say robberies are up 18 percent and burglaries are up 38 percent.

Salisbury Acting Police Chief Ivan Barkley says criminals are targeting college students and homeowners away for the holidays. Barkley says people heading outof town can ask police to check on their homes while they are away.

Crime on the rise at area colleges
Sex assaults, along with liquor law and drug abuse violations,increased at Princeton University last year, a newly released annual security report says.
Burglaries at Princeton and the College of New Jersey were up in 2008, while TCNJ experienced a dramatic spike in motor vehicle thefts.
Juvenile crime on the rise

Juvenile crime is on a steep increase in Kerr County, and officials are scratching their heads as to why.
During the past five years, the county has seen a fairly consistent annual fluctuation between 5 and 10 percent in the juvenile crime rate.
