PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - A Multnomah County corrections deputy has beensentenced to two years probation after Tasering a man at a strip club ablock down from the Sheriff's office in June.

Steven Douglas Cowles says a man was threatening a stripper who he has known for a long time.

Aspart of his probation, the 45-year-old Cowles has agreed to enroll inan alcohol evaluation program and not drink or visit bars.

Cowles was off-duty and drinking when he fired the stun gun.
