Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab presented a valid Nigerian passport and U.S. visa to authorities in Amsterdam on Christmas day before boarding Detroit-bound Flight 253, Holland's counter-terrorism agency tells CBS News.
Dec. 30, CBSNews.com:Abdulmutallab arrived in Amsterdam on Friday from Lagos, Nigeria. Aftera layover of less than three hours, he passed through a security checkat the gate in Amsterdam, including a hand baggage scan and a metaldetector, officials said.

Abdulmutallab was carrying a validNigerian passport and had a valid U.S. visa, the Dutch said. His namedid not appear on any Dutch list of terror suspects.
According to Reuters, NCTb and Dutch military police had been investigating the claims of Michigan attorney Kurt Haskell, who first told MLive.com he witnessed a well-dressed man try to help Abdulmutallab board the flight in Amsterdam without a passport.

The NCTb reportedly reviewed CCTV video and other evidence, and as CBS states, their investigation "into Abdulmutallab's passportpokes holes in the theory that the alleged bomber had help evadingsecurity."

But Haskell, who talked yesterday with the FBI, is sticking by his account.

"Inever stated he didn't have a passport," he told MLive.com thismorning.  "I stated he was trying to board without a passport, whattranspired after that I don't know."

Haskell, also questioned why Dutch authorities haven't released the security footage that could clear up the matter.

"Show me the video," he said.  "They have the video of what I'm talking about.  Where is it?  Why aren't they showing it?"
