As a youngster, I believed that Guns got you killed.

I had this naive thought in my naive little brain that if someone assults you and you pull out a gun then they are MORE likely to kill you just because you had a gun.  My then boyfriend got his hands on an illegal Mac10 and I threw the biggest tizzy fit you have ever seen.  I forced him to tear it down and distribute the parts around our area little by little.  I wasn't having it AT ALL.

My husband has been hell bent on our 2nd amendment rights since I met him 11 years ago.  We didn't own any guns but he understood how important it was that we COULD go buy a gun.  I argued and resisted every step.

About 2 years ago we began watching the news nightly, a routine that we hadn't previously had.  I quickly realized how scary this world can be.  I was living in my safe little bubble of security.  How naive I was. 

The reasons is it is so important to protect our gun rights is because it runs parallel with our freedom.  What is our biggest threat to a tyrannical government?  Our weapons and ammunition, acquired legally and within the laws.  Our right to protect ourselves, our family and our property is the BIGGEST THREAT to them. 

Gun control doesn't affect you?  Are you sure? 

Imagine your life without your rights.  Your right to drive, to work, to shop, to buy and to love.  What if those were taken away?  

It starts with the right to own a gun.  If that is taken away from us, we'll lose all of our rights one by one.

Protect the most important one now - even if you don't carry!!
