Certain Canned Foods Contain High Levels of BPA Chemical Toxin
By the Whole BodyHealthStaff
The food processingworldis reeling right now after a shocking new series of tests released inthe current issue of Consumer Reportsrevealed that many leading brands of canned foods contain bisphenol-A(BPA)—a toxic
chemical linked to health risks including reproductive abnormalities,neurological effects, heightened risk of breast and prostate cancers,diabetes, heart disease and other problems.
BPA is used in the lining of cans, and the toxin leaches from thelining into the food. According to Consumer Reports, just a couple ofservings of canned food can exceed scientific limits on daily exposurefor children and expectant mothers.
But fetuses and infants are not the only ones at risk. Researchers arealso finding that BPA exposure can affect teenagers and adults as well.There are more than 100 independent studies linking the chemical toserious disorders in humans, including: prostate cancer; breast cancer;diabetes;
early puberty; obesity; and learning problems.

My Thoughts:
So if the levels are deemed "hazardous" by the government, will there be a recall of these products? I have about 20 cans of the chicken noodle soup that I now feel like opening and throwing away..... I don't even feel that I should drop it off at a food bank as it contains some of the HIGHEST levels of BPA.
Is living a healthy chemical free life even realistic?? This is getting ridiculous.
