Althoughin Iraq U.S.-sponsored sanctions killed half a million children, itsinvasion killed over a million persons and made four or five millionhomeless, one might say that the Nazis did worse.

  • The Obama surge

Wehave entered a period of government lawlessness, led by the UnitedStates, with inevitably serious consequences for everyone. Nuclear waris a possibility. With climate change threatening the planet itself, wedo not need this as well. Europe must cease supporting this berserkstate. It needs to recover the vision, the spirit of goodwill andhumanity that laid the foundations of the European Union. In followingAmerica, Europe has lost its way.

Americanbehaviour extends beyond inhumanity into viciousness. The character ofBarack Obama, which in dealing with non-Americans is no different fromthat of George W. Bush, also shows the American characteristic ofcruelty without limits.

Itis said that the Afghan surge is Obama’s defining action, which isprobably true politically. He revealed himself much earlier however, inApril, at the time the Maersk Alabama’s captain was held by threeteenaged pirates. The pirates were in a boat tied to a US warship andwere attempting to negotiate for their lives. The captain was in nomore danger than he had been for days but Obama approved killing themen who held him. It was not a firefight. It was cold-blooded murder bytrained snipers – hailed in the American media as heroism. That definedObama as I said at the time. His approval of the Afghanistan surge wasinevitable.
